March 28 - 31, 1999 - Switzerland

On March 28th we left Munich Germany, and took our first train to St. Moritz, Switzerland. We arrived in St. Moritz, and took the world "shortest taxi ride" to our Hotel :) -- if only we'd known it was only a block! We left the next morning on the "Glacier Express" train for an 8 hour ride through the ALPs across Switzerland to Zermatt. Then we left Zermatt about mid-day for the town of Brig, which is down in the valley (site of a terrible flood in the early 1990's). On Wednesday, March 31st we left Brig and Switzerland and headed for Italy.
