On March 25th, 1999 we left the Rhein River valley and headed toward Odenwald, an area just southeast of Frankfurt. This is the area where Sherrie's Göttmann family originated. The villages we visited were Brensbach, Nieder-Kainsbach, Fränkisch-Crumbach, Beerfurth, Reichelsheim, Unter-Ostern, and Nieder-Kinzig. Sherrie's Göttmann family originated from this area of Germany, and her line left Germany in 1767 and migrated to Frank, Russia along the Volga River in Russia. During this one day tour of the villages, we neglected to keep track of exactly which pictures were taken in which cemetery, so we are unable to identify exactly which cemeteries contained some of the gravestones. We are working to try and identify the precise village for some of the unidentified graves.
